Local Patients
If you are located in Singapore, and would like to like to make an
appointment for medical, diagnosis/assessment and/or therapy services,
please follow the procedures listed below:
- Request for an appointment via the Appointment Request Form and an enrolment package via Information Request Form . The enrollment packet with intake forms and relevant questionnaires will be mailed or emailed to you within one week. For urgent requests, please contact us at our appointments line at +65 6466 8090 to speak to one of our Case Managers.
- After
you have received the intake forms and relevant questionnaires, it is
important to have these completed and returned to our clinic in a
complete and timely manner. This information will help us determine how
we can best serve your child's and family's needs. At this time, we
will also request for all relevant recent reports, test results and
IEPs, if any. Upon receipt of your completed forms and reports, our
team of professionals will review all information on hand.
- After
reviewing the information on hand, our office will contact you to
schedule an Initial Consultation with either, a Specialist or with a
team of Specialists, depending on the child's needs and family
situation.
- During the Initial Consultation, clinical
observation of the child and an interview with the Parents will be
conducted. The child's case history and needs, as well as parents'
plans and expectations for their child, will be discussed.
- Following
the Initial Consultation, our Specialist or team of Specialists may
recommend in-depth assessments or evaluations into the specific areas
of concern (such as speech and language, motor skills, social
communication skills, school functioning etc) towards treatment
planning for the child.
- After all relevant evaluations are
completed, findings and recommendations are discussed with parents for
treatment planning towards realistic goals for their child. Treatment
plans are reviewed at appropriate timeframes and/or transition points
to help the child and his family reassess their goals and expectations.
If you have questions about the process of assessment and treatment
planning, please consult our Case Managers.
- Parents are
also expected to be active partners in their child's intervention
programs. Parent/Caregiver as well as teacher training programs are
administered through Ovspring's Parent Support Program (PSP) .
Parents, caregivers and teachers are expected to attend PSP programs so
as to be better able to support their child at home and at school.
