SIBSHOPS VolunteersSIBSHOPS are open to siblings of special needs ages 9 years to 12 years old and is a service that is run on a not-for-profit basis by Ovspring clinicians. This service is open to ALL siblings of special needs in the community. SIBSHOPS are lively, pedal-to-the-metal, award-winning celebrations of the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of kids with special needs. Sibshops acknowledge that being the brother or sister of a person with special needs is for some a good thing, others a not-so-good thing, and for many, somewhere in between. They reflect a belief that brothers and sisters have much to offer one another—if they are given a chance. Opportunities now exist for interns who are keen to work as SIBSHOP volunteers in during school holidays - in the week of December 3rd to 7th, 2007. Interns will work in teams of 3 to 4, and will be led by a professional staff member. Interested interns or volunteers, please email hr@ovspring.com with subject header "SIBSHOPS Volunteer Opportunity".
