Psychoeducational Intervention
Intervention Services can include the following:
• Designing psychoeducational individualised programmes for schools and families • Social communication (individual & group sessions) • Individualised/Small group Educational Intervention • Parenting support Intervention services can be carried out in the clinic (either individual or group based) or at school: Clinic-based intervention may comprise individual sessions for students with behavioral concerns or learning difficulties. These students are referred for treatment by a parent, school representative, physician, social service agency, or as a result of an evaluation by Ovspring professionals.
Classroom-based intervention typically involves addressing a focal concern within a classroom group. Example topics covered are social/communication skills with classmates or compliance with teacher directions. Working with a child within clinic boundaries, may be supplemented by working with schools to introduce strategies or modify curriculum to make classrooms and teaching more inclusive. Requests for classroom-based intervention can originate from schools, from parents or parent-support groups.
