Ovspring EIP (Early Intervention Program)

Ovspring Early Intervention Program (EIP) combines educational and therapeutic approaches to foster the growth and development of children, towards independence and functional activities of daily living as well as preparation for community-based programs.

For Whom?

This program is targeted for children ages 2 to 5 years who have been identified to be at-risk for developmental delays or related issues such as language delays and socio-emotional difficulties.

By Whom?

Ovspring’s EIP team is headed by a supervising psychologist, and team members consisting of special educator/educational therapist, speech-language therapist, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.

Individualised Program

After an assessment, specific needs are addressed according to the development of goals for each child, through establishment of an Integrated Therapy and Educational Plan (ITEP).  The ITEP is prepared with input members of the EIP team, and goals may be reviewed every three to six months.

Depending on a child’s developmental outcomes and goals, a combination of individualised one-to-one time with an EIP team member and/or group work is incorporated during these sessions.

Schedule

Ovspring EIP is available:

Morning: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday - Friday
or
Afternoon: 3.00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday

Children come in for a one and half hour slot each session, on a schedule of 2x a week or 3x a week.
