Social Thinking

Social Thinking is a term coined by Michelle Garcia Winner, Speech Language Pathologist (http://www.socialthinking.com). Michelle developed Social Thinking as a treatment program for students to assist them with their social learning.

Those who have benefited from this approach include individuals with autism spectrum disorders (particularly high-functioning autism and Asperger Syndrome), ADHD, nonverbal learning disorders, and similar challenges, diagnosed and undiagnosed.

Having completed training through workshops as well as mentorship training in this approach, Ovspring clinicians  run Social Thinking Group therapy during term time and holiday time for children from aged 5 to 12 years old.  Social Thinking groups are run by multidisciplinary teams of occupational therapists, speech-language therapists and psychologists.
